About the festival
Playlist je filmový večer složený jako pečlivě kurátorovaná sekvence krátkých AI filmů. Vyprávění na pomezí pohádky, hudebního klipu a sci-fi vize. Není to jen sled projekcí, ale cesta – od pohádky přes hudební sen až k absurdní sci-fi budoucnosti. Playlist is a small festival with big ambitions – its goal is to inspire, connect, and entertain. We bring together genres, push boundaries, and celebrate creativity without unnecessary fuss. We welcome short films that have something to say – whether it's comedy, sci-fi, animated fairy tales, or bold experiments.
Films compete in the following categories:
Best Micro Short (up to 3 minutes)
Best Short Film (up to 20 minutes)
Best Sci-Fi
Best Comedy
Best Animated Fairy Tale
Best Music Video (up to 5 minutes).
We also award Honorable Mention for creative use of AI.
Playlist is not just about films – it’s about a shared experience whose goal is to connect, inspire, and entertain.

Rules and Awards
- SUBMIT ONLY FILMS CREATED USING ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE
- All films not created using artificial intelligence will be disqualified.
- All Submitted films must have artificial intelligence as the primary source of created content. (images, videos, animations) and must have been created in the year preceding the festival year.
- All films not created using AI tools will be disqualified, so please do not submit them. (This is an AI festival, we have nothing against them, we love them too.).
- Trailers are not welcome, We are not against creating trailers using AI. However, our goal is to present short films that tell a captivating story, not trailers. (It's nothing personal, we hope we're still cool).
- Films must have length from 2 to a maximum of 20 minutes.
- You must own all copyrights. to your work. By submitting, you grant us permission to screen your work in theaters and to include your YouTube film in our online winners' playlist to increase your visibility.
- Your film does not have to be exclusive to our festival. You can submit works that you have already submitted to other festivals in 2025, that is fine.
- It's okay to do minor post-production with classic tools like After Effects, but most of the film must be created using AI.
- It's fine if your script wasn't created using AI tools like GPT (it might even be better that way), but we accept both.
- If your film is not in English, you must provide a version with English subtitles. If your film wins an award and is screened at the awards ceremony, it must have Czech subtitles.
The winner, runner-up, and semifinalist will receive a certificate and a laurel wreath. Articles about the winning be published on the media page and social media.

Vision and idea
Hradec Králové is an ancient cultural city nicknamed the Salon of the Republic. It is in the heart of Europe with a long-standing vision and tradition of modernity. I want to enrich this concept with a festival that showcases the vision of current, cutting-edge filmmaking with the help of artificial intelligence.
